governed by a Board of Directors.

Maria Dimopoulos AM

Board Chair

Maria is a lauded human rights advocate and champion of diversity and gender equality. She holds extensive experience and expertise, particularly around the rights and meaningful inclusion of women from migrant and refugee backgrounds in policy and system reform.

Margaret Augerinos

Deputy Chair

Margaret is a qualified Social Worker who has been working in the not-for-profit community services sector for the last 35 years, across many different settings including family counselling, community health, community legal services, and advocacy and rights organisations.

Tania Rose

Board Treasurer

In her professional career of over 20 years, Tania has led finance, IT and business service functions across the education and health sectors. She is currently Corporate Services Director at Family Planning Victoria.

Deb Bryant

Board Secretary

Over the last 30 years, Deb has held a number of executive roles in the not-for-profit sector, and is currently the Executive Director at Women’s Liberation Halfway House.

Stacey Ong

Board Director

Stacey is the founder of One Red Step, a consulting practice focused on creating social change and equity particularly at the intersections of race and gender.

Michal Morris

Board Director

Michal has been the CEO of inTouch since November 2017. She is a member of FSV’s Family Violence Reform Advisory Group and Women’s Correctional Services Advisory Committee, and the governance group of the Western Integrated Family Violence Committee.

Felicity Rorke

Board Director

Felicity has been working in the community services sector for over 25 years and holds both a Bachelor and a Masters degree in Social Work.

Libby Jewson

Board Director

Elizabeth (Libby) has had over 30 years’ experience in a broad range of professional settings in education, community rehabilitation, community health, primary health and service system reform through the primary care partnership sector

MEMBERSHIP

Safe and Equal is the peak body for specialist family violence services responding to victim survivors of family violence in Victoria.

Working across family violence response and prevention, we are recognised as the statewide voice of specialist family violence services.
