As Practice Development Advisor, Courtney works to support workforce and practice development for the specialist family violence sector.
Courtney has worked as a social worker for 18 years in across family services and housing and homelessness. Prior to commencing this role, Courtney worked at Berry Street in the family violence team and was also employed as the Personal Safety Initiative Coordinator, assisting victim survivors access safety and security measures for themselves and their homes.
Everyone has the right to live a life free from violence. Victim survivors deserve proper recognition and appropriately resourced services to address the trauma that they have experienced and to assist in the prevention of further family violence or gender-based violence occurring. I want to engage in this work to help bring this violence to an end.
